Practice that tells you exactly what to fix
SkyRT Academy is an independent training platform for student pilots preparing for the RTR(A) examination in India.
Why we built it
Radiotelephony is a spoken skill, but most preparation material is written. Students memorise question banks and then freeze on the frequency. We wanted practice where you actually transmit, hear the controller respond, and get feedback specific enough to act on: not “incorrect”, but “you did not read back the QNH”.
How the content is made
Questions, scenarios and explanations are written for this platform, based on the ICAO Manual of Radiotelephony and the Indian regulations that apply to the RTR(A). Some first drafts are prepared with AI assistance. Every item carries its provenance, its source reference and its review status. Our editorial workflow takes items through draft, review and verification; where a published item has not yet had a recorded instructor review, it is labelled “not yet instructor-reviewed” next to its explanation.
Aerodromes, frequencies and operators in scenarios are fictional so they can never be confused with live operational information. Phraseology follows the ICAO standard; where Indian practice differs, the regulator’s current publications take precedence.
What we do not claim
- We do not use or sell actual or recalled examination questions.
- We do not publish pass rates or success statistics we cannot substantiate.
- Practice scores and readiness indicators describe performance on our material only; they do not predict an examination result.
