Are these the actual DGCA exam questions?
No. Every question, scenario and practice paper is written for SkyRT Academy. We do not use or sell actual or recalled examination questions, and nothing here is endorsed by the DGCA.
What is the format of the RTR(A) exam?
The examination has a written part and a practical radiotelephony part. Public reports of a DGCA draft CAR from September 2025 describe 50 multiple-choice questions with a 70% pass mark for the written part and a practical of about 30 minutes with a 50% pass mark. We have not verified these against the final CAR, so check the current DGCA notice before your exam.
Do I need a microphone?
No. Every simulator scenario can be completed by typing. A microphone lets you practise speaking, which is closer to the practical test. Voice works best in Chrome or Edge on a desktop or Android device.
Is my voice recorded?
We never upload or store recordings. Your browser converts speech to text — in Chrome and Edge this is done by the browser vendor's speech service — and we receive only the text. An optional replay of your last transmission is kept in your browser's memory only.
How accurate is the voice scoring?
Speech recognition can mishear words, especially numbers and call signs. The simulator normalises spoken numbers and the phonetic alphabet, and marks a result as uncertain when the recogniser's confidence is low or a critical item is missing from a voice transcript. You can always edit the transcript before sending.
Is the scoring the same as the examiner's?
No. The simulator checks the items a correct transmission must contain, weighted by how safety-critical they are. It is designed to show you what to fix. It does not reproduce an examiner's marking scheme and does not predict your result.
Do plans renew automatically?
No. Each plan is a one-time payment for a fixed number of days. We remind you before it ends; you choose whether to buy again.
Can I get a refund?
You can request a refund within 7 days of purchase. Duplicate charges and payments that did not activate your plan are always refunded. See the refund and cancellation policy for details.
Where does the AI tutor get its answers?
From approved study notes in our library. Each answer cites the notes it used, and if the notes do not cover your question the tutor says so instead of guessing. When the AI service is unavailable, you still get the relevant notes.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, from your account page. Your learning history is deleted. Payment records are kept in anonymised form where the law requires us to keep them.
