Privacy policy

What we collect

• Account details: name, email address, password (stored only as a one-way hash), and optional profile details such as your target exam date and study preferences.
• Learning records: answers, exam sessions, simulator transcripts and scores, study plan, bookmarks, tutor conversations and lesson progress.
• Payment records: plan, amount, date, status and the gateway’s order and payment references. We do not receive or store card, UPI or bank account details.
• Support messages you send us, and question reports.
• Technical data: IP address and browser information for security, rate limiting and audit logs.

Voice input and your microphone

• The microphone is used only while you hold the push-to-talk button in the simulator, and only after you grant permission in your browser.
• Speech is converted to text by your browser’s built-in speech recognition. In Chrome and Edge this service is operated by the browser vendor (Google or Microsoft), and audio is processed on their servers under their privacy terms. Safari may process speech on your device or on Apple’s servers. We have no access to that audio.
• We receive only the resulting text transcript and the recogniser’s confidence score, which are stored with your simulator attempt so you can review it.
• We never upload or store audio recordings. If you turn on “replay my transmission”, the recording stays in your browser’s memory and is discarded when you leave the page.
• You can use the whole simulator by typing instead.

How we use your data

• To run your account and provide the practice features, including your dashboard, study plan and analytics.
• To process payments and give you access to what you bought.
• To send account emails and, if you allow them in your notification settings, study reminders.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and investigate problems.
• To improve our questions and scenarios, using aggregated performance data (for example, how many students miss a question).

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

Who processes your data for us

• Hosting and database. Our servers and database, operated by our hosting provider, store your account and learning records.
• Email delivery. Our email provider receives your email address and the content of account emails (verification, password reset, receipts, reminders).

Common tutor questions and their answers may be cached without any link to the person who asked, so repeated questions can be answered without another AI request.

How long we keep it

• Account and learning records: while your account exists. When you delete your account they are erased.
• Payment records: kept in anonymised form for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• Security and audit logs: kept for a limited period for security purposes; entries linked to a deleted account no longer contain your email address.

Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, and nominate someone to exercise your rights. You can download a copy of your data and delete your account yourself from your account page. For anything else, contact us using the details below.

Security

Connections are encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, staff accounts can be required to use two-factor authentication, access to administrative tools is limited by role, and administrative actions are logged. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

Children

The service is intended for student pilots. If you are under 18, use it only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
